I feel I have to start this review by stating that this deck is filled with very explicit illustrations of couples involved in sexual relations. If that alone is a “deal breaker,” you have no reason to continue with this review.

Sex and the Tarot,
There are very few tarot decks out there that are specifically geared to sexual intercourse. Some of the others out there don’t share the historical details or the intimacy which comes through in the Kamasutra tarot. The only problem here is that the historical nature of the Kamasutra itself may be a turn off for some tarot collectors, but as it stands, it is the only deck on the market right now that fully explores and appreciates sex in an unabashed and honest way. After all, the way we have sex, any way you slice it, exposes the way we all think about gender in our daily lives. It is hard to look at the Kamasutra Tarot as an exercise in sexual diversity, but it does tell it like it is… you will find the deck either uncomfortably honest or strangely refreshing in a time when social anxiety about sex is at a fever pitch. Either way, it isn’t disappointing to the subconscious mind, and therefore translates to an interesting exploration of one’s sexual desires and beliefs.
